Erasmus is a numbered edition of 50 silver brooches the city of Leuven gives as a relational gift to its high-ranking guests. It is a scaled copy of the bronze statue ‘Erasmus’ by the Belgian sculptor René Rosseel. Following Erasmus, the brooches and its owners refer to a network connected to Leuven. The first brooch (001) was handed over to former mayor Louis Tobback at the end of December 2018. The Leuven network through Erasmus constantly grows.
