Nopper is a modular system for building a cupboard, a desk or a combination of both. The construction originates from research into building toys for children existing out of plastic blocks provided with a large amount of arranged studs into a grid. This permits the elements to clamp by pushing them into each other. This principle has been simplified by attaching four or more studs above and below a shelf and clamping a loose leg between them. Playing with diameters and lengths creates various possibilities. From the entire system, endless formal constructions are possible creating a personal desk or cupboard, going from a very minimal to a more baroque style.
